Hi, Iā€™m Dr. mike zimmermann.

I am an Army Veteran who has focused my professional career on serving the mental health needs of active duty service members.

Originally enlisting as an Artilleryman and Paratrooper in 1996, I served an initial contract at Ft. Bragg, NC.  I was living in Fayetteville, NC on 9/11, and made the decision to return to service, but this time as a doctor.

I earned my PhD in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia (Go Dawgs!). Commissioned on the anniversary of D-Day, I specialized in Trauma and Military Psychology.  I retired in 2021 from Active Duty and now serves as Clinic Chief for the 101st CAB Embedded Behavioral Health Clinic at Ft. Campbell, still serving the Soldiers and Aviators of the Army.
